Paradox Garden

Paradox Garden

Life is a struggle. Life is paradise. The Earth is our graveyard and our utopia.
Commitment fulfills us, but stifles us. Freedom leaves us aimless, but allows us to return to our truest selves.

Paradox Garden is the Rock music project of singer/songwriter/pianist Gabe Saks.

The Primal Ground Project

Primal Ground  was created in Israel with talented musicians on cello, violin, guitar, bass and drums, in intricate arrangements together with vocals, piano and melodica by Gabriel Saks. This unique sonic palette evokes deeper meanings from the introspective lyrics.

Vocals, Piano, Melodica, Synthesizers: Gabriel Saks
Guitar: Eliyahu Haschel
Bass: Koby Klar
Drums: Elimelech Grundman
Band Drummer (pictured): Moshe Yankovsky
Cello: Carmiella Bernstein

When My Star Burns Out

Astronomy meets philosophy in this exploration of where we are headed--a piano-based song over epic tribal beats, with synthesizers creating an infinite atmosphere, and dark tones yielding to glorious acceptance in male and female vocal harmonies.

I am interested in the paradoxes of our existence, and life after death seems quite appealing. We are made of star dust, and as stars, we must eventually burn out, creating a black hole. Is approaching death truly similar to approaching a black hole? At the moment of death, do we step into infinity? Is death a portal, or does time simply slow down to an everlasting freeze? Special thanks to Leah Temima Saks for the beautiful backing vocals. This song is based on electronic beats, a departure from the acoustic instruments found on other Paradox Garden albums. The synthesizer-based atmosphere fits the space-themed lyrics.
